About Tara C Taylor
Tara C Taylor is a passionate songwriter, producer, and musician. Her songs explore themes of love, lust, politics, and the diverse journeys of life, all infused with an edgy wit that sets her apart from conventional singer-songwriters.
Tara describes her sound as “Acoustic meets Dance,” a fusion of post-punk/80’s new wave and electronic dance. Put another way, imagine if Erasure had a baby with Annie Lennox with the cool aunt being PJ Harvey and the cool uncle being New Order.
After seven years of honing her unique sound in Berlin, Germany, Tara returned to Canada’s East Coast, performing and working on her solo music project as well as a collaborative dance music project called MT805 with fellow musician Matthew Presidente (Vancouver, Canada).
As a talented vocalist, musician and producer Tara works out of her home studio writing and recording as a multi-instrumentalist, playing guitar, bass, keys, drums/beats on her tracks.
